We have made the difficult decision to shut down Universe. We plan to wind down the service over the remainder of 2026 and expect to continue operating through December. Your website will stay online and working until December 31, 2026.
We know many of you have put time and care into creating with Universe. We’re grateful you chose to build with us, and we’re sorry for the disruption this news may cause. We have built tools to help you download images and videos, export mailing lists and order histories, and transfer your domain to another provider. They are already live at https://web.univer.se/export.
We will automatically cancel all existing subscriptions before December 31, 2026. You may cancel your subscription earlier if you wish through Apple or at https://web.univer.se/subscriptions.
In the coming weeks we will begin blocking new site creation, new subscriptions, and new domain registrations. You will still be able to manage and update your existing websites until December 31, 2026.
Thank you for being part of the Universe community.
